Project Description

AdeRisa Productions is a California Limited Liability Company founded in 2012 by Adelina Anthony and Marisa Becerra. AdeRisa Productions is dedicated to producing bold, entertaining and educational Two Spirit, LGBTQ+POC films with an emphasis on Xicana/o/x, Chicanx, Mexican and Latinx stories.

Since the Company’s inception, AdeRisa Productions has created inclusive sets comprised of primarily queer Xicanas, queer women of color, and people of color.  Their sets have ZERO TOLERANCE for racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, classism, and any other behavior that disrupts the harmony and purpose of their work.

AdeRisa Productions believes we all benefit from stories that explore the humanity of our most resilient communities. They are invested in characters who are multi-layered and living at the intersections of race/ethnicity, class, gender, sexuality and spirituality.

AdeRisa Productions hopes that its films abet in fostering critical dialogue and social change; because they believe and practice this indigenous tenet: our stories are medicine.
