Project Description

Fair Play for Girls in Sports is short video produced by the non-profit Legal Aid at Work in order to educate the public about girls’ rights to gender equity in school and park and recreation athletic programs. Fair Play for Girls in Sports was Funded by Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles Foundation (WLALA).

Fair Play for Girls in Sports is also a Legal Aid at Work project which spurs schools and park and recreation departments to treat girls equally on and off the field, through litigation, technical assistance, training, and legislative advocacy. Focusing particularly on girls of color and girls who live in low-income communities, their work promotes the health, educational achievement, and future employment opportunities of girls.
